Four by Four Experiences brought us on board to co-create an immersive and interactive experience zone for Johnnie Walker at Lollapalooza India 2025. The floors and walls responded to movement, inviting festival-goers to become part of a constantly shifting space.
Immersive Room
This project came to life through a three-way collaboration: Big Fat Minimalist led the visual graphic direction, we at Ocupus Studio crafted the generative visuals and led the tech integration, and Non Linear composed the sound and built the interaction systems.
The visual language for this project drew from Johnnie Walker’s refined yet bold aesthetic, using its colour palette, minimal forms, and purposeful motion. Clean lines, pointcloud animations, and smooth gradients created a layered, almost hypnotic effect. Visuals evolved slowly, syncing with the sound to build a rhythmic, immersive atmosphere.
Sensors tracked movement across the floors and walls, feeding data into a custom TouchDesigner system. The system generated real-time visuals that responded to every step and gesture, making the space constantly shift and evolve, keeping the experience dynamic and immersive.
Previsualisation helped the different teams visualize how visuals, sound, and interactive elements would come together in the space. It allowed for efficient collaboration, and refining design and tech before execution. This ensured seamless integration and flawless execution on-site.
Johnnie Walker is a legacy whisky brand known for its iconic "Keep Walking" philosophy that stands for progress, resilience, and forward momentum. In India, it engages with contemporary culture through music, art, and live events, building experiences that speak to a new generation.
